Traditionally, each pre-kindergarten class collects money just as the K-5 grades do and then pool all the money together to make one grand Disney basket. This is the basket that everyone wants to win at the auction! It is always in the top tier ($1000+) and gathers the most tickets. 

Once the money is all collected, the basket auction committee (or you all as class parents) collaborate to make the basket. Gift cards are a must! Often we also include Disney themed luggage, ears, stuffed animals, toys, everything and anything to make a giant and glorious basket that everyone wants to win! The kids want it. The adults want it. You want it. I want it.

Collect donations from your classroom

Collect monetary and/or material donations from the other caregivers in your class. We know that it can be stressful to ask for these, so we've tried to make things easy on you. Use our provided letter template (Google account/docs required) and customize it with your own information. Distribute this letter to the other caregivers in your classroom via email from the list you received at the beginning of the school year. You can also ask your teacher if they'll put it in the student's folders to take home as well. Feel free to also reach out on Facebook groups or any other means of communication you have with the other caregivers in your classroom. (Morse code and carrier pigeons are good last resorts if you need to use them)

Please note that while donations are not required, a good suggested monetary amount is $20 per child. Any donation is appreciated!

If the class reps are making the basket, please have it finished by April 12, 2025. If you would like us to make it for you, please have the money to us by April 4, 2025. When your basket or money is ready, email evwbasketauction@gmail.com to coordinate drop-off.
